Sonic Brew (+1 Bonus Track) [IMPORT]: Black Label Society
I was sitting at home reading a guitar world mag w/ an interview with Zakk Wylde. The first thing he said was " It's simple really , we are out to destroy bands like third eye blind and blink 182. " After reading that, i knew i had to have a Black Label Society cd. This cd is amazing. It goes in so many different directions it unbelievable. The guitars are equipped with the nastiest sound you will ever hear, and the vocals are a 'Chirs Cornell/Alice In Chains' mix. If you are in to heavy music that really rocks check out this one. You wont be disappointed. Kick back w/ a cold one and enjoy!!!
If you have been waiting for good rock-and-roll music, you have got to listen to this CD. Former Tesla members Jeff Keith and Tommy Skeoch are back and doing what they do best. All of the songs are great - my favorites are No Show, Cellophane, Gotta A New Life, 4 Leaf Clover, All Natural. Actually I love them all. Keith's vocals are as powerful as ever and Skeoch's guitar screams! Order this CD - you won't be dissapointed.
Britain isn't the first place you associate with progessive metal (especially well played stuff !!!), but B.O.P. have gone some way to re-adressing that on this album. This is a concept album, although don't let that frighten you, because with the exception of a few very short narrative vocal passages you'd be none the wiser.
Blind Fury is the hottest new band to come out of nowhere in years with their patented rip your face off lead guitar work backed with a bone jarring rhythm section. A band that you must hear and see.
One of the most prolific shredders I have heard to date and yet no one seems to have heard of James Byrd. James Byrd is faster than Yngwie and flashy as Vai, yet retains his own unique idenity. A Rare killer.
It took almost a year but Sebastian Bach's first solo effort finally made it as a United States release! The former vocalist for SKID ROW is here to show us that he still has what it takes!
Perpetual Burn: a man with seemingly no technical limitations playing exactly what he wants on electric guitar. Jason Becker makes extremely difficult passages sound easy because they're all over the place! The music is beautiful and interesting.
Japanese reissue & the worldwide CD debut of this original album by the hard rock/ AOR group. 'Bighorn' was the Canadian outfit's sole album, first released in 1978. Contains all 10 cuts from the original release, as well as the original cover art. 1999 release
Probably the earliest Bonnet album available. This album is a great even flow of good melodic rock from the industry's most ignored talent. Theres always been something so cool about Bonnet, who has fronted so many classic bands while resembling a pompadored disco king.
Frankenstein is a highlight with a drum solo that captures a number of recognizable beats including Honky Tonk Women, In-a-gadda-da-vida, etc. Featured Tracks: Common Road, Teenage Immigrant, Dr. Toulak, Frankenstein and more....
Amazing renditions of "Sweet Leaf," "Snowblind," "War Pigs," and "Paranoid" will more than satisfy Sabbath faithful, it's the newly released material (recorded in considerably better quality at various venues from 1970 to '78) that really underscores the band's dark, endlessly influential legacy. Ozzy's maniacal "Symptom of the Universe" would be enough, but it's only the prelude for the ominous, over-the-top 10-minute rarity "Megalomania," the thumping "Iron Man," a moody, tellingly jazzy take on "Black Sabbath," and the thrashing "Behind the Wall of Sleep."
The Fab Four are back and we are not talking the Beatles. Sabbath reunites for an incredible live album with 2 additional studio tracks. Songs featured
War Pigs, Behind The Wall Of Sleep, N.I.B., Fairies Wear Boots, Snowblind and many more...
A diverse cast of characters helped create this impressive, four-years-in-the-works solo debut from legendary Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi. 10 different singers and writing styles. A must-listen for all metal mongers.

One of the top ten best hard rock CDs of ALL TIME!
This album is incredible. John Sykes is a complete guitar wizard while at the same time embedding perfect vocal melodies and harmonies over inventive slide bass from Tony Franklin and always a machine on the drums Carman Appice. I got this album on a whim from a friend and was completely blown away. The music itself is epic, as well.
Blue Oyster has out done themselves on this outing. With the unstoppable title track: See You In Black will pound you back in your chair and put a big smile on your face. A must for all BOC fans! Other featured tracks: Harvest Moon, Power Underneath Despair, Hammer Back, Live For Me.
This follow-up to "Teaser" is dark and smokey, with chilling references to what would become Tommy's end. His solo break in "Shake The Devil" is probably the most ferocious and terrifying rock guitar statement ever recorded. On "Gypsy Soul", he plays very inventive and jazzy lines on acoustic, floating over the changes effortlessly.
I bought the album to hear more of Terry Bozzio, and was pleasantly surprised with Steve Stevens' versatility. Tony Levin was, of course, in top form also. This album was an educational and practically religious experience. Highly recommend this album to anyone interested in progressive rock.
