Joe Lynn Turner, Glenn Hughes : Hughes Turner Project
This CD rocks from beginning to end. From "Devil's Road" and "You Can't Stop Rock and Roll" to "On the Ledge," Hughes and Turner give nothing but their best. "Mystery of the Heart" and "Heaven's Missing and Angel" are slower, but still good. If you like Deep Purple and Rainbow, this is a definite must have. If not, still give it a listen. After the disappointing turn rock has taken lately, this should up your spirits.

Heaven's Gate: Menergy
Every song is outstanding. No ballads, not that this band can't pull off a great ballad (listen to "Planet E"), but the whole album flows with such force that a slow song would stifle the overall pace. Heavens Gate has always been a great band, and they get better with every release. And isn't that what progressive music is all about?

Hammerfall : Crimson Thunder
Hammerfall is definitely one of the best bands in the whole epic power metal movement. In this album you can find some of the best songs they have ever created: Hearts on fire, Crimson thunder, On the edge of honor, The unforgiving blade, Hero s return. If you like power metal and you don t know about hammerfall, you don t know what you are missing.

Halford: Crucible
Rob Halford's 2000 comeback album, Resurrection, won over even the most jaded metalhead, and Crucible is likely to do the same. Paying no attention to current trends and sell-out bandwagons, the former Judas Priest frontman and his mighty crew stay true to traditional heavy metal, yet they never come across as dated.

Halford: Live Insurrection [LIVE]
Halford's last album was awesome. Seeing him live was even more impressive. I'm amazed at how he has been able to capture that power and presence on this double CD. He hits most of the highs of Priest as well as his new material from the studio and Fight while still including some more obscure Priest material.

Halford: Resurrection
Resurrection is truly (and finally) a return to what metal fans want from Rob Halford. Heavy Metal. Straight ahead pounding, driving metal performed with a passion very few are capable of delivering. Rob's voice is in top form and his band is tight and alive.

Sammy Hagar: Hallelujah
HALLELUJAH is a great live album from Sammy Hagar. It features some of his best solo stuff, plus some recast Van Halen and Montrose favorites. Michael Anthony of Van Halen and former Van Halen singer Gary Cherone make guest appearances on this album, and I think the regular bassist, Mona, sings a bit on the song "Heavy Metal." This is one of the first Sammy Hagar albums to buy if you're new to the Red Rocker

Heart: Alive in Seattle [HYBRID SACD]
Having been a Heart fan since the beginning, I have been disappointed in their absence from the music scene in recent years. Last year while net surfing I saw that they were having a short concert tour. One stop was Las Vegas. My wife and I drove to Las Vegas to see them perform at the outdoor beach venue of Mandalay Bay. Wow!! Excellent concert, and they still rock as they did in the late '70s when I last saw them. I have been waiting for the CD or DVD to come out. As I am now stationed in Iraq, it took a while for the CD to get to me, but it was well worth the wait. I can highly recommend this CD.

Hellecasters: Hellecasters Live...Raw...in Germany
On July 2,1998 the Hellecasters (Jerry Donahue, John Jorgenson & Will Ray) convened in Baden-Baden, Germany to tape an appearance of for the live music show, "Ohne Filter". This was one of only three shows that the band played together all year although you wouldn't know it from this rollicking 60 minute set. Drawing on material from their first three CDs, the band shows those unlucky enough to have not caught these axemasters live before what they have been missing.--serious guitar playing, a slammin' rhythm section and material that is in turn beautiful, fun, haunting and brilliant!

Listening to the Hellecasters is like allowing yourself to be strapped into the back seat of some turbo-charged, sci-fi vehicle that careens through time and across continents with little regard for safety.

Helloween: Rabbit Don't Come Easy
Helloween has been my one of my favorite bands. They have been the sound track of my exsistence!! The Dark Ride was good, it was dark, very dark. The production on Rabbit is awesome, thank you Roy Z, Killer Double bass work, soaring chorus' and many great guitar chops!! A keeper from the Helloween of the Keepers era! :]

Helloween: Better Than Raw [EXTRA TRACKS]
Helloween is back on track with their latest release "Better Than Raw" which features the most consistent songwriting since "Keeper of the Seven Keys Part II". The 2nd track "Push" is\will be a Helloween classic. My other favourite songs on this CD are "Don't Spit on my Mind", "Revelation", "Time", "A Handful of Pain", "Falling Higher" and "Lavdate Dominum" which is a song sung totally in Latin!

In case you've never heard Helloween, their sound is not unlike "Ride the Lightning" or "Master of Puppets" era Metallica: fast and clean, but not too hard by today's standards.

Gary Hoey: Gary Hoey
I love instrumental guitar rock, and this album is a great add to any collection. This is a hard to find album, but I consider it to be his second best album (next to Endless Summer II). I believe this one to be his hardest rocking one that I have heard and something that will really make you get in the groove. A very full, rich, intense sound.

Gary Hoey: Hocus Pocus Live [Hollywood] [LIVE]
Wow! Gary Hoey's guitar sounds better than ever live, it already sounded great enough in the studio. This album will make you feel like playing air guitar from start to finish. THE DEEP really sounds great live as well as HOCUS POCUS and LINUS AND LUCY. Gary shows here that he is a master of the electric guitar and can hang with the best of them.

Gary Hoey: Vol. 2-Ho! Ho! Hoey
Gary Hoey's second Christmas cd is as good, as varied and as much fun as his first one was. There's the heavy metal "Deck the Halls", the Chuck Berry-ish "Rockin' Around the X-mas Tree", the jazzy "The Christmas Song", the appropriately aggressive "Mr. Grinch", John Lennon's "Happy Xmas/Give Peace a Chance" and many more fun takes on Christmas standards. The only knock might be trying to mix in an original tune among all the familiar melodies. But that's a minor detail. If you want to boost the energy level of your holiday cd collection, you can't do much better than this. Feliz Navidad!

Gary Goey: Vol. 1-Ho! Ho! Hoey
I've always been a Gary Hoey fan, but when I heard him on my local rock station say he had a Christmas album, I had to get it. It was the middle of summer a couple years ago, and this album seems to only sell during certain parts of the year (so get it now! ). I was blown away with the hard rocking parts of the CD. This is a must have for EVERYONE!
